Removing the door panel is absolutely no big deal. It will take about 2
minutes. Just follow Haynes or the workshop manual. I just did this a
couple of weeks ago. There is no other good way to lube unless you want to
completely hose down the window, too. Then, you'd have to thoroughly wash
it, which would get soap and water down into the crank mechanism, and you'd
be back at square one.
