I dunno if you can blame it on Joe Lucas, Frank.  I had a 1954 Ford that did 
the same damn
thing!  Only my horn blew whether I was turning right or left!Embarassed the 
hell outta me until
I sold it off to a couple of (other) unsuspecting sailors.  Used the money to 
buy the Sprite.
Of course, a few months later all of the wiring under the Sprite's dash fried 
itself in a puff
of sickening electrical smoke!
