Back in my dark period ( when an LBC friend had a "Ron for Emperor of
Japan" bumper sticker made up for me), I had a Miata. The catalogs they
sent exhibiting performance items like extra cupholders and lighted mirrors
sometimes also included the Bugeye kit. People are actually spending
enough on that kit to buy a serviceable genuine Bugeye. There is a bright
yellow one for sale here in town. It has been for sale for over a year,
which is probably when the owner first looked at the handywork and let out
a low "oh, $h!T!!" under his breath.
