Some what limited on the life of 1275's but rebuilt ours a couple of years ago
at 55K and everything was still with in factory specs.  The bearings look like
they would have safely gone another 10K and we may try 65K on this engine.
That's assuming the we live long enough to drive it that far, were just a
couple of old fogies. Did a fair number of 948's years back and rebuilt all of
my engines at 50-55K and never did an overbore or ground a crankshaft.  My
philosophy has been that rings and bearings at 55K is cheaper in the long run
than having to re-bore, grind a crank and possibly replace a cam just to drive
another 10-15K miles. But nothing helps more than regular maintenance and
changing the oil.
