Hi All

Finally getting around to installing the Frontline shock conversion and the
MGB/Spitfire brakes on the Bugeye and believe it or not, it looks like it's
all going to work together. The only problems are that the brake line has to
be rerouted through the inner fender wall to avoid the shock and the Sprite
rotor backing plate will not work.

Question #1

I have a set of braided lines that I thought were for the Bugeye when I
bought them some time ago. After comparing them to the original lines I find
that they are about 1 1/2 times as long as the rubber ones and would require
a loop to fit.

Does anyone know if the braided lines are available in the same length as
the originals? If not I guess that I will just use stock lines.

Question #2

I understand the later Midget brake lines were routed through the inner
wall. Does anyone have a service manual for a later Midget with a picture of
the brake line location through the wall? If you do, could you fax me a
copy? My fax number is (408)649-4017 and it will be greatly appreciated.

Question #3

Anyone out there done the MGB/Spitfire brake conversion? Does anyone know
if the Spitfire backing plate will work on the Sprite?

Question #4

Does anyone know what type of threads the lower/outer fulcrum pin has on the
small end? I bought a brand new A arm at a swap meet for $5 with the small
end threads messed up on the inner edge. If i can find a thread restorer of
the proper size and thread type maybe I can save it. I don't have a free
fulcrum pin at the moment to check myself and you can't really see the
threads in the A arm.

Thanks
Larry Miller
