David, You might want to consider using assembly lube on your journals or rod bearings in place of the oil mixture. The assembly lube will stay in place and lubricate the journals until you have oil pressure, assuming that the oil pressure comes up normally. This can add some life to the bearings and journals and still let you rotate the engine by hand as you finish up. Sorry I did not get in line sooner with this item. I use Crane Assembly Lube # 99002.
