Side screen felt

I was walking by a local Piece Goods (cloth store) the other day and noticed
that I was going out of business.  I decided that now would be a great time
to have them cut off an inch of black felt off of a bolt for use in my side
screens. My question is - Does the felt go in both tracks or just the inner
(wider) one? Probably just the inner one since the front perspex was fixed.
Right?
