Check with a Lotus Esprit owner who might have some lying around - the
Esprit uses clear tubing in their clutch line, and it's the first thing
everybody rips out and replaces. The alleged story is that it swells
greatly reducing hydraulic effectiveness, but it would have to swell a
helluva lot to have enough of a volume increase to make any real effect. I
changed mine anyway because the braided line kit was clearly (pun intended)
better.
