Since the timing is the only thing that I have not screwed with throughout
this debugging process I thought I would check that out. The car has been set
at 5 degrees throughout because that's where it seemed to run and idle the
best. Reset it to 3 degrees and went for a spin, no joy, in fact is was much
worse, it would only run for about 1/2 mile at a time before starting to miss.
Same as before lift off, mash clutch, return to idle, run perfect for another
1/2 mile. Reset to 8 degrees, JOY. Just got back from a 30 mile drive, 20 on
the highway at constant speed, JOY. The car ran perfectly. Now the test will
be to reset it to 5 degrees and see if it starts again. Will check that out
tomorrow.
Can anyone explain this?
