When I started it up hours later, there was resistance to movement,
until it 'popped', and the wheels turned freely. Like the time I had to
"un-stick" my clutch, only it was the brakes this time. I imagined that
they're 'stuck' on with the heat, and only became free when they'd
cooled and then been forced by moving the wheels.
I don't know about starting after the first stop - and I won't be able
to check, as it's at home in it's new garage. I'll hopefully get to it
in a few weeks.
Are you suggesting that a too-tight brake cylinder or caliper, is the
cause of the heating brake fliud? Makes sense. I guess if the wheel
turns freely when it's cool, then it shouldn't generate any friction
heat in the braking system, vis-a-vis, if one of them is contacting the
brake pad or shoe when it's cool, it will heat up at speed.

Ah, I edited out the original statement, but not the reference to it.
My PWDA has never been happy in it's 'centralized' state - if it's
plugged in, the dash light is on. I had tried to centralize it ages
ago, but, at the time, every time I did, it would pop back, despite my
having bled the brake lines and verified that all appeared good and
solid. Of course, this was all ages ago, when I first owned the car,
and I haven't fiddled with it in a while, and certainly not since I
replaced most of the brake lines a few years ago. I guess I should have
another go, now that I'll be attending to the brakes some.
