Normally it's an indication of a bulb being burned out on the left side.
 On most cars, a bulb being burned out makes that side blink rapidly. 
The Spitfire often does this as well, but also can fail to blink at all.
 Just walk around the car and observe the bulbs and you will quite
likely find one not illuminated.
