The 'offset' of the motor part really isn't that far off
of 'directly to the side' of the main body.

On the GT6, mounted on the carb/exhaust side, the
solenoid sticks out and slightly down (about 8:30 o'clock?)
So on a Spit installation (distributor side of the engine)
it would stick up at around 2:30 o'clock. I'll try and take
a look at it today, and see if swapping it over to the drivers
side would clear the steering column shaft of not.
