At the risk of accusations of F.I. ........
All Profits / Surpluses generated by these events in 2004 will be
apportioned between the two UK charities OIL LEAK will be supporting this
year.

This post is submitted to lists for the benefit of overseas based
enthusiasts likely to be in the UK on vacation on the dates shown and who
would like to take part in a classic car activity in the company of British
enthusiasts on their own home ground. All runs are no more than 125 miles in
length. Overseas visitors can use vehicles from
http://www.theopenroad.co.uk/ and can choose from MGBGT, MGB RV8, Stag,
TR4A, TR6PI, TR7 and Jaguar 'E' Type. The Open Road premises are no more
than 4 miles from the Start/Finish point at a pleasant hotel near Stratford
upon Avon

25th APRIL The GRAB-A-GRANNY-RUN
6th JUNE The HEDGE BOTTOMS RUN
25th JULY The SPR-IDGET-FIRE RUN
19th SEPTEMBER The WARHORSE RUN. This visits three historically important
battlefield sites - Bosworth Field (1485 - Wars of the Roses)) Edgehill
(1642 - First of the Civil War) Naseby (1647/8? Last of the Civil War)
17th OCTOBER The TEST HILLS RUN
The route visits all the Test Hills used by British auto manufacturers from
Birmingham, Coventry, Oxford and Abingdon in the 1920's and early 1930's.
Highly likely a large number of cars will be navigated by people who are
either seriously visually impaired or registered blind)
7th NOVEMBER The GOLDEN LEAVES RUN - autumn colours of breathtaking beauty
in a superb hill region.

The routes we will be travelling make extensive use of quiet country roads
wherever possible and will take you into countryside that no tourist bus
would EVER visit. In other words, you'll see English countryside that only
the Brits know! All runs are charged at GBP20 (US$37 approx) and this
includes Morning Coffee before the start, Road Book and windscreen event
board + the fuel you'll use. A pub Lunch and the Optional Carvery Supper on
your return are to your additional cost.

Please contact me off-list for further information and if you're
*frightened* of driving on the wrong side of the road, it's likely two seats
can be made available in the Course Marshall's cars (Triumph 2000 or 2.5PI
saloons)
