WARNING!!!!

I know a lot of us "Spit Heads" use eBay in buying and selling used parts and
cars. Lately, I have received a couple of emails from someone CLAIMING to be
eBay and wanting me to give them my personal account information and warning
that my account could be shut down if I didn't comply. The email address they
used was aw-confirm@ebay.com and the email subject was "security check". The
email even used html coding and trademarked logos to make it look exactly like
it came from ebay.

This is an attempt to get users to send in their account information -
including CREDIT CARD NUMBERS - so that they can steal from us. As far as I
know, eBay never sends out such emails, so don't fall for the trick.

If you HAVE sent in your account information, you probably should change your
used ID with eBay and you should definately contact eBay to let them know about
this. They request that you send a copy of any such emails - including the
full header so they can track the source of these messages - to them at this
address; spoof@ebay.com.
