It means for every 12" in width the height increases 12"

So a 20 ft wide building, the center ridge will be 10 ft high.
That's fairly steep, most roofs on houses are 6/12.
But in Arizona all the roofs are flat since in never rains!!!

Ok, "dumb" garage question....

Someone mentioned high ceiling and "12/12 pitch roof" - what's that
mean??
Would that be a 45 degree angle?

Just curious.

George "with garage too small for the spit and all the other stuff" P.

p.s. - The Spit *is* the #1 priority in the garage, though. Just in
case
you were curious. ;-)

12/12 means that for every foot of rise, the roof has one foot of run.
In other words a 45 degree angle as you say.
