I want to drain my brake system and would like to upgrade to DOT 5 for
the reasons well known for us. I have found different products, as
LUCAS, Castrol SRS, Valvolin 5.1, ATE, but when I asked the suppliers
whether these brake fluids are silicon based or not, they were not sure
about it. So my question is: Is DOT 5 a guarantee for silicon brake
fluid or it could be anything else (paint eater) as well?
