Richard,

The key operates fine, its just that the knob won't rotate.

I fitted the lock when I got the car - as the owner didnt have a key for the
old one
and just left it open all the time.

Forcing it with a screwdriver may be my only option, I have a feeling using a
large
drill won't do anything except make a hole in the lock.

And you're right.... all my tools are in the boot.... including all 8 of my
screwdrivers.... my car really is a toolbox with a motor.... maybe I have a
screwdriver in my bedroom somewhere....

Hmmm - better do this somewhere secluded.... or perhaps somewhere with lots of
people is better.... breaking in to my own boot!......
