First thing I did, drained it all out and put fresh in :-)

At least there is fresh oil in there.

Check the transmission fluid level. A tranny oil low level will reduce the
pressure needed to engage the OD.

Subject: Gt6 overdrive diagnosis

Hi all,

Well, my OD stopped working in the spit6 last week and now I am trying to
diagnose the problem. A couple of time when I activated it I could still
here the relay clicking and once while parked (in fourth) I could hear the
solenoid click into place.

So, my thought is electical more than physical OD unit. I have 3 areas to
look:

- The firewall relay
- the switch
- the electrics on top of the gearbox.

Obviously, I would like to eliminate the first two before tearing the
interior out for #3. What are the voltages/characteristics I should check
for?

Thanks
David A. Templeton
