The swing spring (now supplied) from a 1500 is the same as the GT6. This is
what any of the suppliers would send you. The difference in factory part
numbers is because the GT6 had a different spring rate, actually softer than
the Spitfires for that boulevard ride.
However, be aware that if you order a new one you most likely WONT get the
clamp that you need for the top of the spring You will also need to remove
and plug the two center most holes in the diff since the swing spring only uses
the four outer most studs, and also you really must install the larger front
sway bar used with these springs to offset the reduced roll stiffness in the
rear provided by the swing spring - all in all not a difficult and most
definately a bolt on job - One of the easiest and most bang for the buck jobs
you can do to an early Spitfire or GT6
