Some years ago I deinstalled Wife. It was a difficult and costly initial
process. Then I installed Dog. I can strongly recommend Dog. It is a source
of great fun and comfort well worth the maintenance.

Have you considered deinstalling Wife and trying the open source
route? I've heard several good endorsements of Dog... (any version).
Dog runs with absolutely anything, but does require a lot more
maintenance than Cat.
