No, I mean corvette.  The corvette uses a single, transverse leaf spring for
its suspension.  And they still do.

I think you mean Corvair, not Corvette.  And at that, it was only the
early ones.  VW also used the swing axle, as did the Herald.  Interestingly,
Mercedes Benz still uses a variant of the swing axle to this day.
