After setting the timing on my 78 Spit at my parents, I drove up driveway,
stop to check for traffic, it was clear but the car wouldn't move. All
it does is it makes a grinding noise when I press on the gas pedel.

I tried going throught the gears and it does the samething with the same
grinding noise in all gears. While pressing on the gas pedel I can feel
the car nudging a bit. Looks like the gearbox will have to come out.

Has anyone had a similar experience or have any idea as to what the
problem might be (ie. losse pressure plate or something?).
