Spitfire windshield

Can someone tell me the differnce between the early and late windshield for
the Spitfire.  I just broke it in my 64.  A local shop has one but they say
all  the spitfire windshields are the same. The dimensions they tell me are
the same as the old one, but I thought there was a change between the early
removable window frame and the later fixed frame. Can someone measure their
later ones height?
