Has anyone tried fitting motorcycle carbs to a Spitfire? I happen to
have another hobby related to riding equally old Honda four cylinder
single overhead cam motorcyles (CB750 and a CB400) and also happen to
have a set of four Keihun 28mm carbs laying around. I would have to
rejet them, but they are very similar in operation to SU's (without the
oil dampener and also without any accerlerator pump - hmm). The only
problem would be fitting an intake manifold I think.
At any rate, food for thought. Could be a fun endeavor and the thought
of balancing 4 carbs instead of just one or two just makes me want to
try.... ;)
