I'm currently trying to install a Hayden 10" electric into my 78 Spit.
I couldn't bring myself to use the plastic ties that came with the fan
which one has to push through the finns of the radiator. So I decided
to made up some brackets to mount the fan as a puller.

I've finally got it mounted and will be switching it on and off with a
toggle switch until I can get around building a circuit to do that
automatically. Before I actually put the car onto the road I want
some opinions about my mounting method, if it will do any harm to the
radiator. The brackets have two parts, a "J" shape plate that hooks onto
the top of the radiator and a plate with screws that goes onot the other
side to attache the "J" plate and fan.

Here are some pictures of the electric fan conversion. Any input would be
appreciated.
