Hey all. Since this is open to all British cars, I thought I'd pass it
along.

This will be the second annual rally thrown together (rather carefully) by
Kevin Valentine of the Spridget list. It originally started last year as a
Spridget list get-together for the North East, but turned into a rally open
to everyone.

It takes place IN the Pocono Mountains. That means the rally course will
bring you through small towns, down old farm roads, and up and down really
twisty LBC special roads that can't be done by a normal car faster than
15mph. Last year's course was about 90 miles, if I remember correctly.

Kevin and his family donate a great deal of time putting this rally
together, and it shows. So for anyone in the North East who wants to take
part, please let Kevin know at valntine@ptd.net. For those of you only
interested in navigating, please let Kevin know as there's usually a few
people who show up solo and need a navigator.

See the below mail for additional information.

'78 Midget

BTW: If you choose to take part, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ENTIRE BRAKING
SYSTEM IS IN GOOD CONDITION, b/c you'll need it, and you'll definitely put
some stress on the system. We had two cars last year that had to take a
break halfway through the course b/c their brakes were overheated. And one
MGA driver that decided that 4 drum brakes were just too risky on the roads
he saw before the course.

Hey ALL,

This years PA Rally will be held on July 21st and 22nd.

The Rally will be held on Saturday the 21st and there will be activities
(to be announced) on Sunday 22nd.

Location; Tamaqua, PA - about 35 miles north of Allentown PA on Route
309.

The Rally is open to anyone with a British car that wants to attend,
(entrants "should" have their own navigators). This is a "Fun" Rally
and is not difficult, beginners are welcome!!

Those "Listers" who wish to participate without their British cars may
either navigate or participate "just for the sport of it" in their
Non-British car.

The Rally is free of charge (same as last year). I will be putting
together a schedule of events and will pass that along as soon as it is
complete.

If you are able to make it to this years Rally please send a brief reply
directly to me, not the entire list! (There are some people on the
"rally email list" that receive their messages at work and won't be able
to deal with several hundred emails). I will be sending registration
emails in the near future.

Please feel free to send this to any other parties that may be
interested in attending.

If you wish to be added (or deleted) to/from the Rally Email List,
please let me know.

More to come.....

Kevin Valentine
