Been away playing golf in Scottsdale (its cold here in Chicago). Just
saw Jeff's post regarding the Barrett-Jackson auction from last Friday
night that was apparently on TV. I was there. Saw a lot of great
cars. I looked the TVR over pretty good and thought it was in great
shape (I really wanted one as a 21-year old but bought the Spit
instead).
Just wanted to make the comment that everyone there freely acknowledges
that the cars being sold are going for approximately 40 to 50% more than
they're worth. There was a lot of shaking of heads at the bids. Too
much testosterone in one place at the same time.
