If you are talking about SCCA SOLO events, you cannot upgrade the wheel
cylinders. drums, calipers or rotors until you get up to the "Prepared"
category.  At that level the type of brakes are unrestricted except that
they must be made of metal (e.g. no carbon Fiber rotors).

As far as mounting the GT6 brakes on a Spit, you need the entire GT6
mounting hardware.  In my opinion, it is best to find a GT6 parts car
with a good front end and obtain the vertical links and everything
attached.
