Well, as it turns out. I was too late to get the engine back they have
already started work on it. I should of gone with my gut feeling. I am
considering having the block hot tanked or baked elsewhere after I get it
back to make sure the innards are clean. I am having to rely on the fact
that they were recommended to me by another reputable shop that only works
on heads. I hope this really hope this wasn't a mistake.

do you think you are? I wouldn't trust anyone to work on my block unless I
was confident they knew what they were doing. I'd recommend reading a book
on
blueprinting engines and arm yourself with some facts and a check list of
what you want done. After all, it's your money and your engine. Get involved
and be demanding but polite. That's the only way to guarantee you'll get
what
you want, not what someone is willing to give you.
