when changing oil in my Spit (and my MGs...sorry all)
...I use a cardboard box about 2 foot square cut down to a
height that fits easily under the car .
I then line the box with two (count 'um two) plastic trash bags.
...two bags just for protection against pin holes.
The advantage of the bags...when done, you can
cut out a corner of the bag and easily drain the used
oil right back into the original bottles to return to
the recycler.
