hey.. has anyone ever mounted chrome bumpers on a Spit
that originally had rubber bumpers.
The mounts appear the same ....save the large cross member
across the front between the bonnet hinges.
It doesn't look like it would be in the way of mounting the plastic
grill under the chrome bumper
...any comments?
Also... does anyone know of a proper electronic ignition to fit
on the 1980? (other than the stock Lucas hanging on the side of the dist)
the DPO tried to mount an Allison unit, but the dist doesn't have any
flats (bumps) designed to open points. Therefore the little opto wheel
he installed has nothing on it to keep it from rotating out of alignment.
also... when mounting a header( 4 into 1) ... what rear muffler to front
pipe do
you use? (..wouldn't need the up sweep since the header runs down)
