After long last my 65ish MkII is ready for a seat transplant (thanks to
Brad Kahler who had a set of donor springs and frames). What I nead now is
recommendations for the refinishing of the metal sub assemblies. I only
want to do this one time, and the frames are hard to get already, so I plan
on sand blasting to bare metal, repainting with the most impervious stuff I
can find, and never letting the seats get wet again. Given the
impossibility of this last part of the plan, what recommendations can
anyone offer for the first two parts?
