I am a fan of the push on air hose and push on barb fittings. So I would bu=
y my own length of hose and then the push on fitting with the 3/8" thread.

fittings https://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-push-on-barbed-fittings-for-air=

I don't buy them from McMaster. We have a couple of local industrial hose s=
hops that carry the stuff.

Subject: [Shop-talk] Air hose with 3/8" fittings?

Hello,

I need to replace the crumbling air hose in my retractable air hose reel.
It has 50 feet of 3/8" hose, but the hose has male 3/8" NPT fittings instea=
d of
the usual 1/4" NPT fittings. Does anybody have any suggestions where I cou=
ld
find an exact replacement? I really don't want to switch to 1/4" fittings,=
 because
I already have a high-flow Milton V-type coupler which screws directly on t=
o the 3/8" threads.

Thanks,
Doug
