quick question

I need to re-seal a section of 110+ year old hard wood floor. When we sande=
d, re-stained and did poly, I didn't do the poly correct. I'd like to redo =
the poly on about a heavy traffic, 4' square area (for now) so it is totall=
y sealed.

I plan on buffing the poly between (several+ thick) coats. If I buy an auto=
motive, electric orbital polisher (for future use on WeeBeasty), will it be=
ok for use on this flooring application? And if so, what attachment would =
work best for this emergency fix?

Thanks!!

tim
