| I'm getting ready to replace my old deck, as the pressure treated
lumber is quite checked and the structure is starting to list a bit.
It's about 25 years old. I'm wondering what I should use for materials
this time. I want to make it look more upscale for resale appeal, but I
want to make it as trouble free as possible(meaning I don't want to re
stain every year.) I've done some research and the composite decking
doesn't appear to hold up as well as wood and quite a few other problems
associated with it's use. I'm leaning toward Mahogony, but I thought I
would get your views on what you've used recently. I live in
Connecticut, if that makes a difference to material use. Thanks for
any insights. John
