I need to build a small entry porch. It will be built using pressure treated
wood and sit on a concrete slab. I'd like it to integrate with the building
as much as possible so I'd like to skirt of the porch to match the concrete
foundation of the building. My thought is to use concrete backer board ( as
used in shower construction) and to skim coat it with cement.
Anyone see a problem with using it? If not what would be the product to
skim it with, stucco, thinset, mortar? Also would I need to " tape" over
the screws and seams as in drywall before skimming?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts
