so this bolt does what? it trashes the crank? I thought we'd r&r the plug 
wires, o2 sensor and erg valve first, then worry about more expensive things.

When I did the timing belt, it is easily done without removing that 
bolt. The scheduled service lists replacement of the front oil seal at 
the same time though, which requires opening the bolt. 

So.... ? :)
