I want to thank everyone who responded to my inquiry both off and on the
list.
I really like the way this list works, one of the Yahoo lists I'm on are
into put downs etc.
and never provides any real information.

Some of the other suggestion that were given were things I had already
tried.

We used the roof rack on the minivan and that solved the problem of not
having enough room
inside. It was a pain to load and one of the things I wanted out of the van
was the propane tank.
A 20 lb propane tank on the roof would give me nightmares.

I bought a tray the goes on the trailer hitch before our last trip. This
might be great on a SUV but
when mounted on our Dodge Caravan there was only an inch or two of
clearance. It scraped on the road every time we pulled off the highway. I
tried very hard not to think about the tank of gas
sitting on a thing that was generating sparks! I now have a hitch tray for
sale!

Several people said they had good luck with the little bolt together
trailers.
I see one of them in my future.

Thanks again.
