Cabinet door latches

I have a cabinet in my garage that has 8' x 2.5' plywood doors with shelves on 
the inside.  Needless to say they are heavy and have a tendency to swing 
open.  I need a set of latches that  can hold this door shut.  Anyone have 
any suggestions?  The type of latches that have the metal bars that are spun 
by the handle and catch at the top and bottom are no good as the shelves take 
up the entire back side of the cabinet.
