I am no expert on wells, and I didn't even stay in a Howard Johnson's last
night!

But I've had lots of problems with mine and I've figured out alot on my
own.

Is this how your problem works...

normal water pressure. Then it reduces slowly. Then, suddenly you get
your pressure back? If that is the case, you need to repressurize your
water holding tank.

If you have low pressure for days at a time, it may be your pressure
switch. Is the pump running alot more than normal?

Just some ideas to get a clearer picture of the problem.

Since there is no doubt somebody in this group that knows something
about this I thought I'd throw my problem out for feedback....

I live in suburbia and have a water well. The last few month I have been
having a problem with intermittent low water pressure. It is difficult
to describe how low it is, but I'd estimate it is about a third of the
normal pressure. The odd thing is that the problem comes and goes. It
rarely stays low for more than 5 minutes. It may go for days without
doing it. I have changed the water filter that is on the main line
coming into the house with no improvement. The problem is present on
both hot and cold....The pump was last replaced in 1985. I suspect the
pump, but usually they either work or don't work. The intermittent
nature of the problem is what has me mystified.

Does anybody have any ideas? Anything I can do to better diagnose the
problem.....

Well, let's see what I get.
