I find a popsicle stick to be an excellent pinstripe removal tool.  I
also like the justification of eating a popsicle to get the stick.  Glue
that is left after the plastic pinstripe is removed is easily wiped off
with the likes of goo-gone or any handy solvent.  Paint underneath will
be unfaded, frequently giving a ghost like pinstripe that will take
several years to disappear.
