I had a similiar problem with the wheels and the actual metal base crumpling
with the weight. I built a rectangular base out of 2.5 inch square stock
welded together, and bolted the new medium hard rubber casters through the
square stock and into the Craftsman cabinet's bottom. It has worked well for 2
plus years.
