I have seen it used, it does work. Not as well as commercial stripper
(methylene chloride), IMO, and far nastier (removes skin just about as well
as paint), but certainly cheap. OTOH you're going to follow this up with
how many $100 worth of paint ? Seems like an expensive gamble to save $10
on stripper to me.
Spray-on oven cleaner is about the same stuff.
