I *believe* it's a volkswagen VR6 block from a Golf GTI.  I could be
wrong.  It's definitely of VAG-origin, though.

The guy who owns the beetle in the corner there is hell-bent on turning
it into some sort of insane drag car, wants to do a turbo'ed VR6 engine.
