I haven't tried any of these yet, my stash of R12 is not yet depleted.  When
it is, I plan to try making my own ...

BTW, you may have seen George Gobel's name mentioned in connection with some
of the substitutes, that's because he invented them.  I knew George at
Purdue, he was quite a character.  Check out his homepage for how to light a
