Bob,
I think that I would agree with Eric on this, don't invite problems, our
cars have enough of their own. The best thing you can do is a good liberal
soaking of brake cleaner, just make sure you have a catch pan under the hub
when you do this, all the junk that washes off will stain concrete and leave
a really nasty mess.
