Battery Question! - Solved

Thanks for all of the great help.

I slow charged the battery yesterday then left it disconnected overnight - 
the voltage dropped from 13.56 to 10.43 with no cables attached.  I bought 
a replacement today.

I learned a lot from all of the responses I received.
