Put it on a cookie sheet covered with felt and bake it at around 312 degrees
for three and a half minutes....... time and temp will vary slightly from
oven to oven. If you get it too hot, the surface will pick up the texture
of the felt and impressions of your fingers etc. Wear soft cotton gloves
when handling hot acrylic.
For simple curves, a form made of masonite covered with felt works well. For
compound curves, make a mold from casting plaster such as Hydrocal, and
cover it with felt.
Keep your plexiglass in a dry place; believe it or not, it can absorb
moisture, and damp plexiglass is harder to form.
BTW, Lexan, although stronger than acrylic, is more porous and should be
annealed for 24 hrs. before forming.
