Somebody asked recently about what type of grease to use, but I haven't
seen any responses. Well, here's my (unqualified) opinion:

1. Check the maintenance manual first. Use a compatible grease.

2. If no specification is available, use lithium based grease for all
applications where the old grease cannot be removed (e.g. ball joints).

3. If all of the old grease can be removed, I would use moly-based
grease.

4. Use high temperature white grease (very sparingly) to lubricate
brake parts at points of movement.

So now I have a question about compatabilities of greases. I asked at
my local autoparts store about using different grease types, and I
got an answer that they are not to be mixed. So what happens if they
are mixed? Do they both break down and thin out or do they just
not mix?
