It seems that I owe you all an apology. After some phone calls to the EPA
(and contractors working for it), the official word is that PCb's are not in
brake fluid. I am trying to find someone at the EPA whose memory (and
records) go back past 1978 which seems to be the year PCBs were banned in
the U.S.
I am almost positive that brake fluid used to contain pcb's. I will try to
find proof to that effect. However, I was wrong to state that brake fluid
currently contains pcb's.
Color me embarrassed.
